![]() | RIDES & EVENTS. We aim to have a variety of routes, which for the main part will be off road. Using bridleways and country tracks to explore the countryside. The Club caters for riders of all abilities, but most rides will suit the beginner and intermediate mountain biker. Joining the Club means that you will always be riding with others, so that you don't have plan your own route and go out on your own. |

Sundays - meet 9.30am Sainsbury's car park, Dunchurch Road. Bring a route and decide on the day which to follow. Pace to suit.
Sunday 5th Sept - Andy j is going to the Peak District. Edale to Hayfield loop. Estimated ride-time 5 hours. Andy has three places on his bike-carrier. You can contact him on 07800742313.

WEDNESDAY BEGINNERS RIDE. Just starting? Put off by the distances? Getting back into riding? Join Andy on WEDNESDAYS 6.30pm. Sainsbury, Dunchurch Road (part of car park nearest to Bawnmore Road). 10 - 15 easy miles guaranteed. You'll be made most welcome. Updated 3rd Sept - Lights are now needed. We'll have to see how long it's feasible to carry on as the nights draw in.

Something For Everyone. If you want to keep fit, see the countryside, make new friends, then join our Club. There truly is something for everyone. From Saturday & Sunday rides, to evening rides, daytime rides, exhilarating night time rides, camping rides and even the odd weekend away ride. Everyone is welcome. It doesn't matter how old you are or your ability, join us now and "get on yer bike". We've done a few Big Rides this year, including the Hell of the North Cotswolds (April) and the Marin Rough Ride on the Welsh border (May), but there are more to do...
Ben is looking for endurance riders for SLEEPLESS IN THE SADDLE. This takes place at Catton Park, Derbyshire.See www.sleeplessinthesaddle.com. Contact Ben on 07756 087593. Apparently this event is great fun! (Ed: presumably for energetic insomniacs!) Sat 12 – Sun 13 August.

TransWales ride - 3 days, 18th, 19th 20th Sept 2010 (info circulated only to those six who have committed to a place). All arrangement - b & bs, support vehicle, maps and navigation, have now been made.
Phil Cooke Challenge Ride (road): from Dunchurch Village Hall 3rd Oct. This was the ride cancelled following snow & ice in Feb. Might be an idea to enter in advance - www.challengingtimes.org.uk/index.htm

RACING- we're not really a competitive club but if a member would like to try then we'll point the way (and it may be that you'd like to join a properly competitive club too; locally there's the Rugby Racing Cycling Club and the Rugby Velo to choose from. Further afield is Kenilworth Wheelers and Leamington C & AC.
